I remember this day...it rained like a son of a bitch the night before and the infield was a mud pit...the whole area was paved with abandoned blankets after the concert. I grabbed a US NAVY beauty that over the years disappeared but judging from the quality it is probably still being used. The music was the best with short between times... There was a 4x8 plywood wall before the stage and if anyone jumped up on it they were met with a crack on the fingers from a 2x4 or length of thick cable. One guy got pissed off and started to ram his head against it until there was a splash of blood and participants stopped him. I was in a car crash a week earlier and had about 10 stitches on the back of my right heel. One of the wandering medics noticed it was bleeding and they spent about 20 minutes cleaning it and re-bandaging it. they did a great job because it lasted all day in the wet and mud. The music was the best, loud, proud and crystal clear...excellent for an outdoor concert.
