That's the summary of the review on Music Web International of Russian babe pianist Daria Rabotkina's new concerto release with the Tartarstan National Symphony in works by Rachmaninoff, Ravel, and Gershwin. But of course you've heard it here first: I've sung the virtues of both soloist and orchestra in previous posts. It's great to see that someone else also recognizes greatness when he hears it! ;-)
I'd still say that Daria could learn a thing or two from Yuja about presentation. (Where are the miniskirts and stiletto heels? That cover pic looks too wholesome and could use way more edge!) But back to the performances, reviewer Brian Reinhart uses such adjectives as "extraordinary", "on point", and "thrilling". No time to lose, I've got to see if I can find a download someplace (hopefully in hi-rez!).
