He sang in the same style as Bill Monroe, and with his Brother Carter
formed the Clinch Mountain Boys in the late 40s. Until Carter died in
1966, the Band was more bluegrass than traditional mountain, but Ralph
made it into a more traditional mountain/country band. He's a giant
