I have spun ELP's first album and Taurkas within the past couple of months. Both sound fantastic and I would gladly put them on the table for a crowd and await a verdict. Both are either original or very early represses as I have had them for decades.
Have no idea on the ELP reissues but Steve Wilson did a great job with Jethro Tull reissue of Benefit and that is sterling as well.
Sorry the reissues are not knocking your socks off. The ones I have are a blast.
