I'm not a fan of flutist Joshua Smith.... (One of the quirkiest wind musicians I've ever encountered.) Emmanuel Pahud has also performed the Widmann Flute en Suite. Pahud is one of the world's top flutists, but the performance is only available on the Berliner Philharmoniker "Digital Concert Hall"..... So you'd have to fork over $$$ in order to sample the piece.
Smith and Pahud are the only two performers I could find who publicly performed the Widmann Flute en Suite. But I'd listen to the Pahud performance before putting judgment on the composition.
