Gee, I hope the HIP advocate was battered around his ears & it improved his hearing enough so that he can now hear that listening to music played on dynamically restricted instrumentation is'nt necessarily better . Did it ever occur to the HIP advocates that composers might have been thrilled with the sound of well made modern instruments. It's not our fault if some modern day instrumentalists can't find ways to maintain their interest in challenging their performance level .
