Home Jazz Alley

From Louis Armstrong to Charlie Parker to the new greats of today, this is the place for Jazz!

Entertaining to hear once!

I gave it a listen but gave up after a couple of minutes.

Top of my list of guitarists I listen to again and again is Ed Bickert, and it's a fairly long list which doesn't include speed merchants. I get more out of Grant Green, for instance.

Many, many musicians are able to play guitar and bass licks at great speed, but the speed itself usually denies the space and timing necessary to make deeper artistic statements. There are exceptions but it really does ask the question why speed itself is a goal.
