I had no knowledge of Jeanie Bryson until now. Interesting background - dad was Dizzy but he hushed it up since he was married.
An attractive voice, quite light but can make the lyrics tell. Interesting to listen to but has clearly been outside the mainstream through her career.
I liked this comment under one of her YT songs:
"You know, as someone who adores Shirley Horn almost to inappropriate levels, your comment evoked intense skepticism from me... now that I hear Ms. Bryson's rendition, I do see why you say that... I agree. Good music."
