I don't think there was hippy jazz per se, but there were musicians who were hippies or intersected with the hippies, and the point of intersection was interest in the traditional music cultures and spirituality of the East as well as an awakened ecological perspective.

First on my list would be Don Cherry whose explorations of world music were from the perspective of a traveler or explorer. His trio supergroup Codona with Collin Walcott (zitar, tabla, etc.) and Nana Vasconcelas (Brasilian percussion) meets the flutes and "bongos" criteria suggested below. Collin Walcott studied with Ravi Shankar, played with the Paul Winter Consort, and founded Oregon. All of these groups had a hippy vibe to my ears.

John McLaughlin's bands Mahavishnu Orchestra and Shakti would be on the list, and Chick Corea had a bit of hippie style as fusion music has in part an intersection of a hippie aesthetic and jazz.

Larry Coryell's first band the Free Spirits (with Bob Moses) can be better described as mid sixties rocknroll played by jazz musicians, but it certainly has a touch of Summer of Love in its aesthetic.

Flutist Herbie Mann was more of the beat generation, but he to adopted world music perspective. His Atlantic LP Wailing Dervishes has a psychedelic cover and was recorded in Istanbul with Turkish musicians and instruments. It should be noted that Istanbul was the first stop and gateway to the "East" on the once famous Hippie trail that sought out Eastern spirituality, transcendent experiences, and dope!

And then there was the Godz--not free jazz but definitely hippie free folk on the famous free jazz label ESP.

And lastly we have this example how the "love explosion" influenced some of jazz's elder statesmen:
