Considering the angst you're experiencing, dpy, Mozart does seem a bit light (never mind the Requiem, O.K.?) as a balancing act for your current situation. Are you certain you wouldn't like to hear about the weight of Bruckner's 3rd Symphony? Or Karl Richter's performance of Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in Dm"?I'm sorry. I'm just enjoying the final 13 minutes or so of my 47th birthday (and yet another beer or two …). Yep, me and Mehta were born on 4/28. I promise that I will listen to the Dennis Brain Mozart Horn Concerti from the EMI Great Recordings of the Century series either tomorrow or Sunday afternoon.
O.K.? I truly hope this will help.
Happy future travels!
