This was just uploaded in the past day..... Maybe in the spirit of the Chopin Competition......
This was NOT the performance I alluded to earlier..... The performance I alluded to, Sorita injected some "jazz cadenzas" during the piano solo parts..... The one just uploaded here, he played relatively "straight" (no added cadenzas)..... But some of the jazz improvisations did get in nonetheless...... And Sorita's jazz background is still in evidence.
This too was a phenomenal performance...... Maybe the best pianist I've ever heard for Gershwin's oft-played work.
