Well, OK.
The violinist's sister, who is his recital partner, did not strike me that way.
BTW, to hijack this:
"Barbra" Streisand's birth names were "Barbara Joan."
Her "story" was that dropping one "a" was a response to people who told her to change her name for career reasons.
HOWEVER, I can't help but think that what was really in action was that there was a French Jewish chanson chanteuse who went by the name "Barbara," and that Streisand did not want to be the also-ran.
Does anyone know anything about that?
Wiki below on the original "Barbara," who was named "Monique," but took a French version of her grandmother's name.
