Classical Court From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here. |

The violinist in this video, Dan Flanagan, is a teacher at UC Berkeley and has been making these various short videos during our recent "shelter in place" era. I occasionally play for his students' recitals over at UC. He's a very entertaining guy, even aside from his accomplishments as a violinist.
Here, he plays the (in)famous Kreutzer Etude, made famous as the theme song to the old Jack Benny Show in the 50's. He starts out at the Jack Benny tempo, and makes one long continuous accelerando as the piece proceeds. Who wants to listen to violin exercises? But you've got to make them interesting! ;-)
