Amateur performance of a piano transcription of a Shostakovitch string quartet

So this guy's name is Sergey Baklykov, and, for the past few years, he's been posting videos on YouTube under his "Real Russia" rubric. His wife and his daughter also appear in some of these videos, which deal with various places to visit, eating at restaurants, what his Russian apartment looks like, etc. I'm not sure if he's able to make a living just from his YouTube videos - otherwise, I'm not sure what his occupation is.

He also seems to be an amateur pianist who has a real love and admiration for the music of Shostakovitch (definitely not on my wavelength - LOL!). This video dates from March (during the Covid lockdowns) when he seemed to be stuck in his apartment with not much to do. So he learned this part of the Shostakovitch String Quartet No. 8, in Boris Giltburg's piano transcription. As you can see from the title of the video, some of his English comes out a bit fractured - but, in a way, that's part of the charm of these videos. If you listen to this one, you'll hear some fairly obvious mistakes in pedaling and deviations from exact rhythm as he performs it on his Clavinova-like keyboard. And yet. . . there's something about this performance, and the seriousness with which he takes the music, which gives his performance a kind of impressiveness nevertheless. (Or maybe I'm just reading something into it!)

Anyway, see what you think (if you can spare 7 minutes of your life and you're so inclined):
