A great 1-2 punch, if you have the time, is to go through the Harnoncourt rehearsal above and follow up with his performance of the symphony with the Berlin Philharmonic. It's available through 6/10 with no paywall at the Berlin site.
I think I learned more about the symphony, the art of conducting and musicianship than I have in a long time. Harnoncourt was the real deal.
