RE: Want to copy vinyl to cd in East Bay San Francisco area.

I would go local for something like this, rather than an international forum. Get a Craigslist account and post it there. There are alot of people who can do this, I can do this but I am 3,000 miles away.

in fact you might be able to do it yourself. Got a receiver or amp with a phono input and a tape output ? Plug the tape output into the line input on your PC. If your software won't record it I can send you something that will. You can make WAV or MP3 files out if it. then, Windows Media player is able to burn the CD in audio format. At least it was. If you have Windows 10 it might not be able to do that function due to the "upgrade". I have not tried it in Win 10 yet but if you got an old computer in the basement or something it should be able to do it, as long as it has not been "upgraded' from XP.

Seriously, if you have a PC laying around that is a bit over ten years old all you need is whatever for a phone preamp, possibly Adobe Audition, and a few cables. No, one cable. Ad of course a CDR n the PC, and with that you don't have to find CDRaudio blanks like the RIAA made people gt for the stand alone CD burners.

In SF you probably don't even have to walk two minutes to find someone who can do that, and if they are cool it might cost you a few beers. But your location is not listed as that, you moved maybe ? I can understand in Oregon it might be hard to find someone who can do this, but not in SF.

I can do it here, and I got a guy who can do it even better because he has better equipment. But shipping across the country is a drag. It is almost like they try to fuck up.
