RE: RMAF 2016 Joseph Audio

Yes, by all means, hear them in person - as everyone should do (obviously) before seriously considering speakers. I consider speakers to be like furniture or shoes - you NEVER know how they're going to feel (regardless of how they look) until you actually experience them firsthand. My friend and I went back to the Joseph room several times, just to perception-check. They really were size-defying, and well-balanced across the frequency spectrum. Would be ideal within a smaller space. There was the slightest hint of compression during complex orchestral passages, but that was to be expected for drivers that size. All in all, a very impressive product. And you have to consider: why would Rowland pair their PRIMARY display with these speakers? Answer: because they're GREAT (Jeff Rowland was actually in the room, the first time we visited). We actually liked them better than the "flagship" Pearls, which we also heard - and which were great-sounding, but proportional to the price, the Profiles provide MUCH greater bang/buck.
