Umm, I would have a serious look at what is on YOUR computer. YOUR computer causes more popups than websites, on average. At one time I was getting them on Craigslist but once I cleaned up my PC they stopped. Craigslist has no popups so if get them there, it is on your PC.

All y'all probably got newer OSes than I but the thing to do is not necessarily run a virus scan, but to find out where to add/remove programs. Remove what you do not recognize, but be careful. An AV program will not do that. You could have received an automatic update that had the shit in it. Do not allow automatic updates - even Windows. Make it prompt you and when you see what it is get on Google and find out what it is. Ad that does not mean accept it just because it is from Microsoft. This free Win 10 bullshit is bullshit. Always remember that if you are not the customer you are the product.
