RE: Every night is Friday night

Pretty much the same with me.

I had imagined that retirement would bring me the opportunity to listen far more and to explore both new music and those reaches of my own record collection that don't get visited. But no, it's still mostly a weekend thing (Saturdays for me). There's a seasonal variation currently as quite a few weekday evenings are spent listening the the BBC high definition live broadcasts from the Proms ( sorry, only avialable to use Brits - in theory anyway).

Unfortunately there is also partly a social reason for this in my case. I live in a maisonette (a sort of multi story apartment). While I was working my neighbours were too, leaving the daytime free for turning up the volume. As soon as I retired I got new neighbours who are there 24/7 :-(
