Great write up! I also attended CAF.Tho I must admit I could do without the traffic in DC. That being said It was worth the trek from FLA. If I could offer a correction, the "VPI/SPENDOR " Was actually the DSA (Dynamic Sound Associates) room .I found myself going bqck there to compare each great system I encountered. Those giant mono blocks were 25k of sweet class A solid state bliss! Couple that with their pre and phono pre that wpuld make any audiophile stop dead in their tracks to take a listen and you had a synergy that mad everything from the Spendors to the Ortofon Anna sing like angels! As for the actual VPI room that featured the KEF Muons and Harrys unveiling of the new Titan turntable, that too was a awesome sight,and sound to behold,Just laked the intimacy and warmth of the DSA room.
