I think there is a lot of talent out there and a lot of people with talent are stuck in various jobs or careers who don't know how good they are and shows like this are kind of their "shot in the dark" avenues. Shows like these take criticism but in a very real way they sort of serve to find talent that perhaps slip through the cracks of the mainstream music industry. She should have a nice future - but Opera is one of those things where people are picky and it's a who you know kind of thing (Ahem Sarah Brightman).
I recently heard this Pizza delivery guy try out and I was quite impressed and in his own way just as likeable as this girl. Opera and Sinatra on mainstream TV - That ain't bad.
