Similar but different experience

We recently replaced our ceramic tile flooring in my two channel room with newer larger ceramic flooring that is less dated (per the "boss"). We also painted the room a color that mated better with the new flooring. I previously had an area rug in front of the speakers and a runner that matched the rug on the wall behind the system.

My wife decided the area rug needed to go. I was afraid that this was going to be a problem. I also removed the runner on the wall behind the system that matched the rug because the color was no longer harmonious. I was "allowed" to hang a large tapestry behind the system in a color that worked.

I was expecting the sound to be too lively and maybe tipped up, but it sounds fine. It is more lively without the rug, but isn't a big deal and actually may sound a tad more exciting.

Happy camper in a lively room.
