I have a KR-9600

It sounds pretty good with plenty of power for speakers less efficient than the 901's. I run JBL L-100's on mine and it's got a great 70's vintage sound. The phono section is pretty good if you plan on using a TT and it has inputs for two.

The Kenwood is built like a tank but not easy to take apart for cleaning switches and pots, which you will likely need to do on occasion with anything this old.

I think you would be happy with any one of them so go with your gut.
