It's hard to tell, but hopefully you installed a floor box.
An uncovered outlet facing up on the ground is a little iffy, as debris could work its way into the receptacle, posing a potential fire hazard.
Also, floor boxes tend to have big old metal faceplates, so when you step on the thing, it will support your weight. (Or worse, put a chair leg on top of it, imagine what that could do to a plastic outlet!)
