Soundstaging is great but the things I strive to enable when setting up my loudspeakers are frequency extension and good tonal balance. I guess I've been lucky in that my speaker systems have always exhibited excellent soundstaging. As long as those other two aspects seem realistically good, though, I can almost forget about "soundstaging".Excellent soundstaging capabilities are not necessarily related to excellence in the other important aspects of sonic reproduction. It might be possible to optimize our stereo systems for soundstaging while ignoring other important aspects of performance in the process.
