RE: Why i think soundstage rendering is very important.

BG, you took the quote from me at the wrong point. I prefaced that remark with "I daresay" which means that I do not have direct knowledge but it is reasonable for me to believe this.

The only DAC that I reularly hear other than my own dCS Paganini is in the EAR Yoshino Acute CD player. Very good at everything. Expensive though but interesting with its nalogue filter instead of a digital one and its tubes. The converter section is available as a standalone DAC.

I daresay there are others that produce a convincing soundstage and perhaps at a more affordable price.
