I first met ST via email when I had a problem with one of Roy's turntables. Within 48 hours Roy made contact with me thanks to ST's intervention. That's again!
Over the years I hate to think how many of ST's columns I've read, and many I reread. I learned a lot about the folks we come to know in the industry, and how they came about to be involved. His columns were always kind of light hearted, and always made me smile. I'll miss them dearly.
Over the years I've became devoted to ST and Art Dudley. These two are about as real as it gets. Yet it seems like it was only last week that Sam had a dust up with some prima donnas on here, and vowed to never post here again. I missed his posts, as he was always a fair minded fellow. Since I first met Sam in the magazine, I've became somewhat of a scenic. Sam was a teacher in a light hearted sort of way, and most of the time you never knew you were the student. The person on here that has no room to learn has already lost out.
Once again Sam, I'm the big looser here!
