Transient Impedance Switch On Power Conditioner

I have the VansEvers Model 83 power conditioner which has a high frequency transient impedance switch. There is a subtle difference in sound as described in its manual, but seems more noticeable on digital playback. If someone else out there has either a VansEvers or other brand with one of these, I'd be curious to hear your experiences. My TEAC player has the Cirrus CS4398 chip which can be rather analytical and my sense is that when I switch to the lower number, it ameliorates the digital edginess on higher frequencies to a slight degree.
