I think that younger people are starting to get back into audio. The Vinyl and Turntable revolution is evidence of it. Several stores here in the Twin Cities have huge Vinyl sections and every time I go to them there are people in the 20-40 year old range buying vinyl.
I think that cheap and affordable good sounding usb dac's are becoming popular and is helping. You can buy a $100 USB DAC that sounds better than much more expensive DAC's from just a few years ago. Computer audio is getting better each year and people are noticing.
I am lucky, my 23 year old son and my 27yo daughter have caught the hifi bug. Of course, my son has been the benefactor of my hobby. I gave him my Parasound A21 amp that he is using with some PSB B6 speakers and a tube pre/DAC.
