If so, that's a bummer.
Over the decades, I drove past that sign all the time on my way to Norwalk Superior Court (uh, as an advocate, NOT as a criminal defendant, thankfully.) ;-)
I must say that the audiophile in me was always a little proud whenever I drove past that TEAC sign, having owned a nice little TEAC cassette player as a young audio enthusiast, and a small salute was usually accorded that venerable institution as a sign of esteem and respect (unlike the ubiquitous single finger 'salutes' I was so prone to freely extend to other, careless drivers who happened my way on those lovely morning freeway commutes.)
One of the very few signs along LA freeways that I ever actually liked to see.
Ah, but no more. Very sad.
(--sniff, sniff----)
