The Crusaders were perhaps my favorite music of all time - have a pandora station dedicated to them. Joe could play the keyboard and infuse emotion, lightheartedness, or drama to what he was playing. He would drive some songs like a percussionist or play a contra-melody against Felder's sax or Henderson's Trombone. Randy Crawford live CD with Joe cued up in my truck right now.

I'll play it with a touch of sadness on the the way home tonight... RIP Joe.
