That's it. Always liked the idea and the way it "exhibits" the components.
I'm going to explore using a 2"x4" maple beam with mortises to accept 3/4" Baltic Birch Plywood. In the description you found the mentioned top support that rests against the wall is the missing piece of the concept.
Floor space may be prohibitive but a prototype must be built.
