I also replaced a Porter Port with a Maestro outlet in my system and had the same experience as you; although, it took a good 3-4 days for the Maestro to come into it's own. I have my Running Springs Haley and Duke conditioners plugged into the Maestro and it unveils so much detail in the music without being lean or strident. It is a very neutral sounding outlet indeed. I also purchased the Maestro outlet cover, but can honestly say I really didn't hear much of an improvement with this outlet cover in place. If there was a difference it was very subtle. So it was an expensive outlet cover that looks nice, but I didn't hear any significant gain in the quality of the sound from my system.
I would like to eventually compare the Maestro outlet to the Furutech GTX-D outlet and also an Avatar Acoustic Afterburner 8 outlet. Has anyone compared these outlets and can share their experiences? Thanks.
