Regarding the Fedex delivery where the sticker was on the door "no one home", I had the same thing happen when I purposely stayed home from work one day to get my package (that had to be signed for). Luckily I saw the truck pulling out of my driveway as I was walking by the front door. I hopped in my car and chased him down. When I asked what's the deal? he replied I rang the bell but no one answered. BS. I was sitting no more than 10 feet from my bell, and I checked it when I got back.
I'm sure this happens a lot when the drivers are over loaded and a signature is required. The stop is faster taking this approach rather than waiting for someone to answer the door.
