I don't know how Hawaii is but here in the 48,Fedex is cheaper and as far as insurance goes,they both try to screw you but you need to be persistent and I always have Fedex inspect it before I seal the box on a heavy item so there is no confusion..I go right to a main FEDEX office and I take my packing tape and have the manager inspect it and then I seal right it there.This way there is no argument and she gives me a clearance so that FEDEX knows it was inspected and they have to cover it.
