In Reply to: How About A Master List of Online Audio Dealers With A 30-Day MB Guarantee? posted by "Red" on February 16, 2014 at 06:49:08:
SA few folks have commented that Audio Advisor has banned them from purchasing anything because they used the return policy.
And I think ANY company would ban people who return stuff on a regular basis.
I bet the online sellers would like to also have a 'master list' of folks who take unfair advantage of returning stuff all the time. Then the suckers who abuse the system would be banned from buying at ALL online places which have a return policy.
This would give lots more online sellers the feeling they can offer the return service and not get screwed by the few folks who abuse the policy.
So lets help them organize a way to share names of abusers of 30 day return policy?
On the other hand at least one online store has a loaner system in place for cables. Only a 5% fee to try and return. Nice.
Naturally some cheapskates grumble about 5% lost.. (instead of wow what a great chance to actually try the cables in my setup for only a small 5% fee!)
For myself I think a restocking fee is fair. 15% for returns due to not liking it. Fair. And covers some of the loss by the dealer/ manufacturer.
