Sorbothane pucks were one of the first footers offered. I bought some that I still have put away somewhere that were marketed by Audioquest. They are like all other footers, they have pluses and minuses. They seem to make things sound smoother, but transients seem softened. After I got them many years ago, I splurged on Goldmund cones, which I still use, and Final Labs Daruma footers. I use the Goldmund under the transport and the Daruma under the DAC.
