Its very well engineered, uses arguably the best dacs and is supposed to be very good sounding but I haven't heard it. I own a Sphinx Project 14MKIII amplifier and think it is one of the better amps I have heard as is its bigger brother the Project 16. You won't find either of these amps on their current website because they are hybrids from the mid 1990s and no longer made. The Sphinx Project 18, which is current, is also pretty good as well but not as good as the older ones.
