My very first stereo consisted of a Sony STR-V35 (I think that's right), Dual TT and the old Genesis 1+ speakers. It would have been in about 1975. This is probably a freak occurance, but within about 6 months of buying it I was listening at lower levels and it shut down and flames came out of the top. Yes, actual flames about 1 1/2 - 2" above the top. Weird. Other than that I thought it was a fine unit.
