Bryston, from what I gather makes bulletproof amps with a 20 year warranty. They are somewhat of an enigma in the high end. I have rarely seen an amp have such a variety of opinions from poor to outstanding.
I have not heard the 4B on many different systems but what I read about the Bryston:
*Some folks refer to it as BRIGHTston.
*Some reviews place it firmly into high end with air and detail, and great bass.
* I even read where it needs a LONG breakin period to sound good.
From Bryston owners [especially the 4B] are there equipment combos or situations that make this amp sound radically different? Going from bright to clean is a wide range of opinion. Under what conditions is is bright, and under what conditions is it clean, if ever?
