HE2002 Coverage

Our own Oakroot and his photographer, Gnome, have just sent me their first installment from HE2002. Surprisingly, turntables seemed to be everything (or at least dominating these pics). You'll have to ask Oakroot about that. Here's round one with more to come.

Director of Marketing, Joe Ciaudelli, for Sennheiser is all smiles as he listens to the Orpheus headphones - only $14,900.

Barry Scott of PS Audio shows their line of products, including a couple of new power amps that will hit the market soon. Word is out about a new line stage too.

The HCA2 a 150 wpc digital/analog hybrid for $1700.

A system in the Acoustic Dreams Room: the Lumenwhite Whitelight Speakers listing for $38,000, the VAIC Classic 52B amplifier at $14,800 per pair, the DCS Verdi SACD at $10,000, and the Hovland preamp at $6,000. The sound was outstanding.

A new offering, the Dragon from Ayon, a 97 db two that sports a fullrange AER driver along with a 15" woofer in the rear, priced at $19,000 for the pair.

The VAIC Classic 52B mono amp.

Brain Urfer - Director of engineering at Acoustic Dreams.

Asylum inmate Seven J (front) showing Oakroot pictures of his modified gyrodeck.

A new turntable kit from Eurokit and Audio Advancements that lists for $1250 plus arm.

The Eurokit entry level model, the SV, at $900.

The Eurokit 2001 at $1150.

Hart and Beth Huchens from Audio Advancements, who bring us the Eurokits and will have a new phonostage out soon - the phonomax with 3 6922 tubes that will retail for about $1150.
