Inmate Kafton's room featured Diapason and Tenor gear. Look in the back on
the rack. Can you spot anything unusual about the black box on the top of
the rack? Read on ...

Tubed output stage, anyone?
Here it is ... a Sony XA-777ES, extensively modified by the bloke in the pic
(Dan of ModWright, LLC); it features design and engineering by Jennifer
Crock of Jena Labs.

Sounded great powered by the Yotes! What else can I say? The best news is
that I showed my bride the pic and she thinks the horns look cool enough to
grace our abode. Who's sorry now?!

Here's the Neat/Exposure/Dynavector/Nuance room. After two days of suffering
in turntable hell (not their fault), our own Ken Lyons and partners in crime
got their room sounding very good.

Ric Cummins of RoomLens (... you'd have never guessed, eh?) fame unveiled
the newest addition to the Rosinanté line, the Sancho subwoofer; it was
designed as a mate to the Dulcinea loudspeaker (which features Bybee
technology, and a formed DarkMatter* front baffle with rigid decoupling
attachment to a double-wall cabinet). The sounds were vivid and detailed.

We expected to find CE camped out in the Legacy room.
Maybe he was there and
I didn't stay long enough to spot him.

Yea ... yea ... I know you saw these Acapella speakers already. Amazing ...
simply wonderful sound (and only $32,000). *sigh*

Hovland electronics + AudioPhysic speakers = visual (if you could ignore the
background) and aural delight.

Hey ... did anyone get a pic of the Edge amps room? We didn't :-(
A sand amp I (think) could actually live with. 'Nuff said.

That's it for now.
Stay tuned for Oakroot's amazing spin down turntable lane.
