Retailers In the U.S. Aren't Pushing Minidisc Aggressively...

192.42.92.2

....I live in a N.Central Florida university town, and
visited the local Circuit City, to inquire about minidisc decks, and the sales guy says They(C.C.) don't carry any home decks
because Sony has the "proprietary rights" and no other manufacturers will pay the royalties to Sony for MD decks, hence
all they sell are the MD portable players---Well, I did some Net surfing---guess what??---Kenwood of Europe sells SEVEN models of MD Home decks; JVC AMERICA sells at least one MD home
deck, as does Denon,---and the Circuit City Website
lists at least ONE MD home deck, even tho that sales guy said.."we don't sell anything other than the MD portables.."---so it's no wonder that MD home recording hasn't 'taken off' in the U.S. like in Europe........
