So far the Sony sounds absolutely fine as a transport, so until something better comes along I will use that for redbook playback. For some reason I am reluctant to buy a new disc spinner. I come across used ones often enough. The Marantz was new old stock and I had hoped it would last longer. Maybe i'll break down and buy an Oppo at some point. I'm listening right now to the Sony, Moon combo and it's really good.
