RE: Raspberry pi and dac

When my Squeezebox SB3 died late last year, I bought a Bluesound Node 2 to replace it. I liked the Node a lot, but just couldn't keep the thing connected to my network (wireless or wired).

After troubleshooting for weeks, I gave up and gave the Raspberry Pi a chance, and I'm glad I did. I have a 2B with a HiFiBerry Digi+ running piCorePlayer talking to my existing Logitech Media Server setup on my PC. It took just a few hours to set up, and it has performed flawlessly for over nine months. (After I knew it would work out, I added an inexpensive HiFiBerry case.) I couldn't be happier.
