Yup, my Metrum really prefers seeing a BNC input.
If I could have all my connections BNC I would probably do so. I've had a fair amount of Analog Audio Interconnects using RCA connectors that ended up acting a bit "finicky" after awhile.
Don't even get me started on the High Fidelity Cables "Death Grip" Pin-Lock RCA connectors. The HFC are no doubt great cables, but I would suggest they only be used on "permanent configuration" components . I ended up damaging one of the connectors removing it from a headphone amp due to it's "Death Grip" hold on the components jack.
I'm honestly not a "newbie" to this hobby, but it shouldn't require a special technique to remove a connector! I normally skoff at ergonomics when it comes to equipment, but there should have been a bit more foresight on the cable maker's part here)
Here's a unique case where "Analog" could learn a thing from "Digital" in terms of plain old "structural integrity". You can talk all you want about how "magnets" are better for music, but without an Audiofool delivery system the benefits are limited by something it shouldn't be.
