Does W4S MS-2 only sound good with I2S output?

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

After pouring over the literature, I have the impression that this is true.

I'm looking for an user-friendly music server that sounds good and is compatible with the Yggy. Any suggestions?
