RE: Is there any real reason a DAChas not been madewith a 0.5 volt out instead of 2 or 3 volts out.???

If the DAC put out 0.5V instead of 2V, the signal to noise would be 6dB WORSE than with the higher voltage all else being equal, not 12dB better.

0.5V is 25% of 2V, which corresponds to -6dB

Unless there is something I am missing?
