gave me one of his power cords to try on the Walker Precision Motor Drive --the thing that replaced my VPI PLC, and now I can't listen to digital any more. Now I wish I'd never gotten into digital at all. Everytime Lloyd gives me a tweak he ratchets the system up anther notch. I'm really getting pissed-off at him. There's really no way a power cord on a motor speed controller should make a record sound better. But there you are.I had one of the PS Audio Power Links on the motor drive and Lloyd gave me this thing that's ever so much like a snake skin--a bit lighter actually, there's really nothing to it. But I immediately heard improved clarity--it was like washing the windows. I swapped it out 3 times with the PS Audio cord but it was so easy to tell the difference. I'm really depressed now. So I called the wife in and she heard it too, and I didn't tell here what I'd done. She doesn't want me to see Walker anymore. I may have to sell the digital side so I can get his interconnects. Ya the Power Plant works...but for a grand I could have had an electrician fish me a dedicated line to that bedroom and get an independent ground installed to boot--. The Power Plant has done nothing for my ground-loop problem. But if you're hung-up with a big CD collection, I think the PP is a worthy tweak.
