At this very moment I'm auditioning two HT interconnects, a Truth Link and a Pro Silway MkII, in a system that includes a Reference Line passive (an extraordinary pre-amp, by the way). These cables sound great with my passive! I have the Pro Silways running from the CDP to the Reference Line and the Truth Links running from there to the amp. The sound is large, detailed and transparent with wonderful tonal body. The strings in Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #6 are melting in my mouth right now!I've been comparing the HTs to a Cardas Golden Cross and Golden Reference, and I definitely prefer the HTs. The Golden Cross was far too colored and tilted towards the lows in my system; the Golden Reference, while more balanced along the whole frequencey range, was at once somewhat exaggerated and compressed in the mid-bass. YMMV.
For proper context I probably should descibe the system. Meridian 508.24, Reference Line Silver Signature Series 2 amp, Dynaudio Contour 3.0 speakers, AudioQuest speaker cable (I cannot recall the model, but it was one step below Midnight nine years ago), Shunyata Research Black Mamba power cords (which are amazing, and bested Reference Glides in my system for half the price).
